Mat Raya had a son who was getting married to Mat Cincang (Gunung Cincang)’s daughter but there was a fight between the two that resulted in a neighbor Mat Sawar coming in to arbitrate. During this time, all three were petrified and turned into mountains, which accounts for both Gunung Raya and Gunung Cincang being so huge with Bukit Sawar (Mat Sawar) being between them.
